Join Principal’s Actuarial Development Program , a long-standing development program with a history of moving actuaries into leadership positions! We give participants broad exposure to several areas of the company by providing rotations in different actuarial roles and departments within the company!
Throughout the duration of the program, you’ll develop strong actuarial, business and leadership skills through three cross-functional rotations, ranging in length from 18-30 months. Each rotation is crafted to help you learn about a different business area, while providing you broad exposure and significant work. Upon completion of the FSA designation, participants are encouraged to continue their career development and business leadership which may include continued movement within the organization.

Work Environments
This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) in our Des Moines, IA office. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
