Job Description

The KBR Capture Manager will serve as a Capture lead within KBR’s business development organization. Customers include a broad selection of federal government agencies, focused specifically on Civilian Agency mission and technology programs. The Capture Leads will be responsible for developing, maturing and winning new business within the Federal Civilian space. Specific Federal Civilian agencies include DHS, ICE, DOJ, DOT, etc. You will lead large, prime, full and open opportunities and lead top pursuits across KBR. Primary work location will be Fulton, MD with assigned customers based across the US. Position can be 100% remote depending on location. Approximately 20-40% of work time will be on travel to client locations. Responsibilities include capture ownership of assigned opportunities in support of KBR’s growth mission and vision, management and execution of the full BD life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals, assignment of 2-3 large ($100M+) solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle primarily in the federal market, conceptualizing a winning strategy, developing a capture plan that implements the strategy and translates into win themes, discriminators, and scorable strengths, adjusting the strategy as the procurement unfolds, and driving the capture activities and team to achieve the strategy through final proposal submission. Additional duties include planning, leading, and executing capture activities, developing a healthy pipeline of new opportunities, qualifying and assessing the win-ability of new opportunities, developing plans for securing knowledge and understanding of customer requirements, coordinating meetings with customers and teammates, leading milestone/gate reviews, black hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and proposal reviews, leading competitive assessments, teaming, and price-to-win efforts, developing and submitting white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts, applying KBR capture management best practices, and briefing capture status to senior management. Basic qualifications for Manager include minimum 8 years of experience with demonstrated success in business development and capture of contracts valued greater than $50M, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, ability to work with senior business and government leaders, working knowledge of mature capture organizations targeting space and engineering support, ability to drive profitable financial outcomes, and demonstrated leadership skills. For Sr. Manager, minimum 12 years of experience and contracts valued greater than $100M are required, with similar other qualifications.
