Embroidery Worker
Job Summary
Operates and monitors sewing machines to join, reinforce or decorate fabric.
General Accountabilities
Starts and monitors machinery to ensure continuous operation and to repair defective stitches, breaks in thread or machine malfunctions.
Positions items to work under needles.
Places spools of thread, cord or other materials on spindles, inserts bobbins and threads machine.
Matches cloth in correct sequences and verifies dye lots and patterns match.
Guides garments under machine needles.
Attaches buttons, hooks, and zippers to fabric.
Records quantities of materials processed.
Inspects and examines garments.
Examines repair tags and markings to locate defects or damage on garments and mark errors as necessary.
Selects supplies according to job requirements.
Makes adjustments to machines and mount attachments as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Some previous work-related experience
