Job Title: Steel Mig Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. This role involves utilizing various measuring tools and setting weld parameters to perform fillet and groove welds efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Follow and adhere to work instructions to ensure quality and precision in welding tasks.
• Utilize measuring tools to accurately assess and implement project specifications.
• Set weld parameters to optimize performance and maintain safety standards.
• Perform fillet and groove welds using mig welding techniques.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in mig welding techniques, including spray arc and short circuit.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• 2 years of experience with GMAW welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Carbon Steel MIG is a huge plus!!
• Experience with spray transfer GMAW.
• Competency in using tape measures and weld gauges.
• Familiarity with plasma cutters, acetylene torches, and carbon arc gouges.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
