POSITION SUMMARY:
The Client Operations Supervisor provides leadership and business direction to the Customer Service, Estimating and Planning teams.
Provides leadership and direction to the teams indicated above through managing communication, performance evaluations, objectives setting, resource planning, problem resolution, promoting morale, facilitating training, development and career planning. Creates and fosters a team environment. Provides ongoing guidance, mentoring and planning with team members.
Operates as a subject matter expert between customers, sales and the production facility to support new business and major developments on existing business. The Client Operations Supervisor is the escalation point person for customers and sales regarding project management, programming and production issues as it relates to the onboarding of those applications. They make risk assessments and assist customers in generating solutions.
Leads team continuous improvement/quality efforts by analyzing and addressing trends and implementing solutions. Leads corrective action efforts to reduce error frequency and severity. The Client Operations Supervisor ensures compliance to procedures and processes.
Oversees staffing and selection decisions, allocates resources and manages project assignments for the team. Responsible to balance resources and for making project assignments based on assessment of the complexity of work volume and the skill level of the team members. Analyzes business needs, trends and forecasts project volume. Provides justification relating to staffing decisions. Oversees interviewing processes and related feedback.
Handles team problem resolutions and addresses issues that are escalated by generating effective solutions for grievances, complaints, and disciplinary activity to increase morale and job satisfaction, and reduce turnover and absenteeism.
May include other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a client-focused, project or product management environment in a printing or mailing industry. 5+ years experience in printing required.
Experience managing customer relationships within a manufacturing site where products and services are provided. Ability to build productive relationships with Business Development, Sales and Customers on new business opportunities and significant changes to existing business.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as this position leads team meetings, presentations, and is an escalation point between the production facility, sales and the customer.
Willing to take on difficult tasks and excel in a high stress, fast paced work environment
