SALARY

The minimum salary is $24.505 per hour

This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this classification is to produce, conceptualize, shoot, edit, and direct live and recorded programs and government meetings to inform and educate viewers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job


• Four (4) years of related experience


• Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience


• Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Collaborates with producers, elected and non¿elected government officials, external organizations and members of the public, to conceptualize and produce professional, accurate, and creative informational content for dissemination through various media platforms


• Conducts video and audio productions, both in the field and in studio to ensure proper personnel, equipment and locations are used effectively and that productions are conducted safely and professionally


• Edits recorded video and audio productions for creation of professional, accurate, informative, and creative content


• Conducts live and recorded press events across LFUCG divisions and departments through directing and/or recording and live¿streaming video and audio and providing video, audio and technical assistance to city officials


• Performs related work as assigned

SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

All certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment.

• Valid driver's license


• Must obtain FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot in Control Certificate within one (1) year of employment.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to submit a video reel showing past experience on video production.


• Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and in the event of an emergency.


• All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
