We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and proven experience in MVAC and MEP design within the civil engineering and infrastructure environment. This role is ideal for a technical expert who thrives on delivering high-performance design solutions for public and private sector projects, including commercial, municipal, and transportation infrastructure.

Experience or interest in business development and client engagement within the Atlanta market is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and engineering of MVAC and MEP systems for civil infrastructure and building projects.
• Develop and review detailed plans, specifications, and construction documents to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, civil, and structural engineers to deliver fully integrated project solutions.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers and designers to foster technical growth and quality output.
• Provide technical support during construction, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site inspections.
• Engage in client meetings, presentations, and contribute to proposal development where required.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify new business opportunities and support growth efforts in the Atlanta market.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).
• Active P.E. license (Georgia or the ability to obtain quickly via reciprocity).
• Minimum 810 years of experience in mechanical systems design with a strong focus on MVAC and MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Trane TRACE, or similar).
• Excellent project coordination, technical leadership, and communication skills.
• Prior experience with civil engineering and infrastructure-based projects is essential.
• Desirable: Exposure to business development , client relationship management, or sales within the Atlanta market .
