About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP of Planning for its Direct to Consumer and Wholesale businesses. This strategic leadership role is pivotal in driving the financial success and profitability of the company's diverse portfolio of lifestyle apparel brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial and strategic planning, partnering with the President of DTC and Wholesale to develop and meet financial budgets and brand-specific plans. Key responsibilities include team leadership and development, operational excellence, inventory and supply chain management, business analysis and optimization, market and competitor insights, and technology and systems enhancement. The role demands a proven track record in both DTC and wholesale planning, exceptional retail math and analytical skills, and the ability to lead and manage a high-performance team. Applicants for the SVP of Planning position at the company should possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree, with at least 10 years' of retail and/or wholesale buying and planning experience, and a strong background in upper management. The role requires a leader with a demonstrated ability to solve complex financial and merchandise-related problems, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to driving margin improvement and ensuring an adequate return on asset investment. The SVP will also be expected to work closely with senior management, foster cross-functional communication, and stay abreast of market and competitor trends to build effective strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the ability to navigate internal systems is essential, as is a commitment to operational excellence and the continuous improvement of supply chain and logistics processes.
