Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional looking to work in a fully stocked truck shop, providing maintenance and repair services to a fleet of diesel trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on various makes of diesel trucks with efficiency and precision.

  • Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspensions, brakes, and air conditioning systems.

  • Conduct inspections, testing, and diagnostics to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Provide labor and time estimates for necessary repairs.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections to ensure DOT compliance .

  • Stay up to date with new technologies and attend training sessions as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with diesel trucks .

  • ASE certifications in relevant fields (preferred).

  • Current DOT certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Valid driver's license (CDL and DOT physical card are a plus).

  • Working knowledge of shop equipment , including wheel and tire tools, alignment systems, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment .
