Methodist Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible, Critical Care fellowship trained physician. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a Level I trauma center, where you will provide expert care to critically injured patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate and manage critically ill and injured trauma patients from initial presentation through discharge.
Perform a full range of surgical procedures, including laparotomy, thoracotomy, and vascular and orthopedic interventions
Lead the trauma team, coordinating care with emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists
Provide surgical critical care in the intensive care unit
Participate in the hospitals on-call rotation for trauma and acute care surgery
Participate in surgical residency and critical care fellowship with teaching responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
Completion of an accredited general surgery residency program
Board certification or board eligibility in general surgery
Completion of an accredited fellowship in trauma and surgical critical care
Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain one
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
Strong clinical and surgical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
