Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the VP/Chief Behavioral Health Officer will oversee the Behavioral Health Departments strategic planning, standards, and model of care across all service lines, including psychiatry, on both campuses. Responsibilities include supporting the Recovery Services Program and integrating traditional and non-traditional healing practices.

Must be licensed independently in Massachusetts as a BH Clinician or board-certified in Psychiatry.

This role involves participating in organizational planning, performance improvement, and ensuring service delivery meets standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Components:

• Up to 8 weekly clinical hours providing direct behavioral health care.
• 30 administrative hours in Behavioral Health for leadership and oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate strategic priorities into operational oversight.
• Be the provider of choice to stakeholders, ensuring strong financial performance, growth, and patient-centered care.
• Develop and supervise staff, including recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
• Implement systems to support efficient service delivery and improve patient access.
• Promote collaboration within NeighborHealth and with external partners.
• Lead quality improvement projects and oversee community health initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and safety standards.
• Provide clinical care as a practicing Psychiatrist or BH clinician, offering supervision and consultation.

Organizational Competencies:

• Adhere to all standards, policies, and legal requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and safety policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Board Certified Psychiatrist or independently licensed BH Clinician in Massachusetts.
• 10+ years of management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• CPR certification required.
