About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for supporting a broad range of accounting functions with a focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting Support . The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable

• Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies
• Match invoices with purchase orders and verify quantities, prices, and terms
• Process payments (checks, electronic transfers, ACH) in accordance with payment schedules
• Maintain AP records and assist with month-end reconciliations and accruals
• Support employee expense report submissions and reimbursements
• Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies
• Contribute to AP workflow improvements and assist with credit card transaction coding

Accounts Receivable

• Generate and distribute customer invoices using ERP system
• Validate shipping documents for accurate billing
• Maintain revenue and invoicing records with appropriate documentation
• Assist with collections and customer inquiries, including coordinating returns with Sales
• Resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Accounting, Sales, and Operations teams
• Provide reporting support for Executive Management and other departments

General Accounting Support

• Assist with month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, and audits
• Coordinate Return Material Authorization (RMA) process with shipping and sales
• Cross-train in various accounting functions and support physical inventory
• Participate in system enhancements and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting; manufacturing experience a plus
• Experience with Traverse Global ERP system is highly desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, and graphs)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement
