Entry-Level Chemist to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $20/hr - $25/hr DOE
Position Overview: This Entry-Level Chemist role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals passionate about cosmetic science and analytical chemistry. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, consistency, and quality of our products by performing analytical testing, documenting results, and supporting raw material evaluations.
Responsibilities of the Entry-Level Chemist: - Conduct routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished cosmetic products using techniques such as pH measurement, viscosity, FTIR, UV-Vis, and titration.
- Assist in the development and validation of test methods for new formulations and ingredients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures, results, and observations in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Support incoming raw material inspections and ensure compliance with internal specifications and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Regulatory, and Manufacturing, to resolve quality issues and support product development.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Participate in internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the lab.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
Required Experience/Skills for the Entry-Level Chemist: - Familiarity with basic analytical techniques and laboratory equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Entry-Level Chemist: - Prior internship or lab experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or consumer goods is a plus.
Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field is required.
