A property that once served as historic hideaways for wayfaring writers, musicians, and artists, Hotel June Malibu — originally the Malibu Riviera Hotel — has been a historic fixture off the Pacific Coast Highway since 1949. Today, its 13 airy, reimagined private Mid-century inspired bungalows offer private patios and garden views, each featuring original work by local artists and photographers. The property is also home to an indoor-outdoor cafe and bar serving casual takeaway Cal-Mex fare, and one of Malibu’s only hotel pools.
Position Overview
At Hotel June Malibu, the House Manager is a hands-on operational leader who brings together warm California hospitality with Proper’s elevated service philosophy. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic boutique environment, is passionate about hospitality, and can inspire and manage a small but powerful team across departments.
Reporting to the General Manager, the House Manager is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the entire property, ensuring smooth operations, team cohesion, personalized guest service, and consistent delivery of brand standards — all while embodying the laid-back luxury that defines Hotel June Malibu.
