Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at a busy dental clinic. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front office. The ideal candidate will have , and be proficient in managing patient interactions effectively.

Duties

  • Greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar efficiently.
  • Manage multiple phone line, manage incoming calls efficiently, answer inquiries effectively, and direct calls to appropriate staff members as needed.
  • Maintain electronic and physical patient records accurately using PracticeFusion, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Collect payments for copays, deductibles, and prior balances.
  • Ensure the office environment is organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Handle insurance verification and prior authorizations.
  • Assist with filing and organizing patient documents.
  • Provide information about services, procedures, and office policies to patients.
  • Address patient inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical office (or veterinary/dental/chiropractice office) is required, non-negotiable, and must be significant (meaning you have held the position greater than 12 months and within the past 2 years)
  • Familiarity with medical coding and insurance verification processes is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment and software, particularly PracticeFusion or similar EMR/EHR for records and scheduling and Tebra or similar software for evaluating balances owed.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing files and documentation.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism, courtesy, and effectiveness.
